Steyn Fourie snr is an Architect and a seasoned property developer with more than 20 years experience in Affordable Housing. He previously developed more than 25 000 Affordable Housing units and five large Student Accommodation complexes at major SA universities. Steyn snr actively participates at The Housing Hub and contributes with technical matters, the financing of projects and strategy in general.
Santjie Fourie acts as Financial Controller at The Housing Hub. Over the past decade she acted in a similar capacity at related property companies. Santjie is responsible for all related project and subsidiary accounts and effectively interacts with Ransome Russouw Chartered Accountants, the accounting firm appointed by The Housing Hub.
Shaheed Patel comes from a financial background and completed his undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics. Thereafter he continued his studies with a Masters in International Business at Hult International Business School. He Started his career at Novitas Capital Advisors as an assistant deal maker where he gained experience in deal structuring and financial modelling. Before joining The Housing Hub, he spent some time in corporate finance in the mining industry at the Waterberg Coal Company. Shaheed will concentrate on the capitalisation of the company.
Steyn Fourie Junior has the responsibility of acting as Compliance Officer when it comes to the facilitating of SHRA applications and Bankable documents. With his legal background, Steyn is actively involved in drafting and compiling various contractual documents. Steyn also plays a role in identifying Social Housing and Student Accommodation projects across the country and manages the various consultants involved.
Jano Esterhuizen has been working at THH since 2014. He currently holds the position of Project Executive and is responsible for the identification and management of both Greenfield and Brownfield developments. Jano co-ordinates the approval process by corresponding with numerous professional consultants in order to execute a due diligence of projects, and presents his findings in the form of a bankable document, which is used to secure funding. Jano is responsible for the facilitation of SHRA applications, and is specifically required to compile the technical aspects of the application. Jano continues to contribute to the growth of THH's property portfolio, and strives to be a successful and valuable asset to the company.
Francis Smit comes from an engineering background where he obtained a B.Eng. (Mechanical) and M.Eng. (Mechanical) from the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, University of Stellenbosch. He is currently completing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams part-time. Francis is actively involved in the modelling and structuring of projects.
Marita van Deventer acts as Company Secretary for The Housing Hub. She previously worked as a Conveyancing Paralegal for 20 years at various attorney firms and gained valuable experience in a wide variety of conveyancing fields. Marita also acts as Office Manager and PA to Steyn Fourie sr and assists him with a range of related property matters.
Mientjie Coetzee is an expert in Environmental Law related to property development. At The Housing Hub she contributes with the drafting of all property related applications, compliance with statutory requirements, preparation of financial applications, etc. Mientjie will typically interact on behalf of The Housing Hub with Government Officials, Bank Managers, etc.
Napha Lopes has an Honours Degree in Architecture from the University of theWitwatersrand, with just over eight (8) years of experience in the field. Having started her career in the residential sector, and having gained some training in the urban design and planning environment, she has been involved in various large scale affordable housing schemes. Her main responsibilities at The Housing Hub lie in initial schematic layouts, through to design development and implementation. Added to that, her experience in space planning allows us to maximise/optimise space in our Inner City conversion projects.
Paul MacKenzie has a Masters Degree in Architecture from Nelson Mandela University. Having started his career in the Property Development sector, has gained experience in commercial and residential planning and design. His main responsibilities at The Housing Hub build from the initial concept and diagrammatic design phase, through to the final design stage and implementation.
